WebKite Blog

Periodically we publish thoughts and ideas about he state of the web and the state of structured data publishing. Topics range from small business marketing to cost efficient advertising.

Who is WebKite?

WebKite is a lot of things. It’s a string, some wind, and consistency. It’s reliable, functional, flexible, and customizable. It’s an affordable web solution and also a new kind of content management system for everyone. It’s one thing to say all this, but hopefully we can convince you that we embody a lot of that spirit.

So who is WebKite? WebKite was born out of a lot of the tools that powered Pikimal.com. We were building Pikimal with the idea of changing search and helping a wider audience make educated decisions based on the facts and nothing but the facts. It’s a bit altruistic, sure, but we really want to make the web better. Just like you, we’ve all been aggravated by the inability to find the item that fits our preferences or have been hampered by incomplete search.

Pikimal became a success, growing naturally and organically. But we knew there was a broader application for this technology. It wasn’t truly helping anyone unless you, the user, could leverage it to power your own data and content. We wanted to allow users to put their brand on our technology and really soar to the top of the Internet. Above shady marketing techniques, crooked SEO, and the sour part of the Internet. We want to empower people to carve out a slice of the Internet for their own and that’s why we created WebKite

As the web continues to transform and search becomes more vast than a hundred oceans, we want you to fly, not drown, on the Internet. If you’re looking to leverage your data in a way that wasn’t possible before, now is your chance. WebKite works with structured data to create a flexible and interactive website. Up until this point structured data has been difficult to leverage. Now, with WebKite we can take something like a spreadsheet, fold it in a few places, tie a string to it, and apply a gust of wind to help it soar high into the clouds. Then, up there, your users can see it from afar and with our handy community tools you’ll be able to attract new users. It’s exciting and gives users the opportunity to create their own search engine in the vertical market they specialize in.

So that’s WebKite. We’re a group of content creators, coders, and developers working to create a product to empower you to own a portion of the web. We want to give users an affordable content management system equipped with the tools to build a community, facilitate fact-based decision making, and increase traffic.

Inventory-based advertising is a better way to advertise

Since we're generating specific ads based on a business' inventory, ads are only shown to customers that are ready to buy those products.

This mitigates waste and ensures that you only get clicks that have a better chance of leading to a sale. Inventory-based ads help you skip past the bartering and get right to the sale. Meaning you can spend less time maintaining ads and more time taking care of your business.
