The Pittsburgh startup scene has done nothing but blossom in the past few years. I think we’re even beginning to outnumber Primanti Bros. restaurants! While residents of Pittsburgh may not show wear their love the startup scene like they do the Steelers (or the Pirates when they’re over .500), you can show your support for a number of up and coming companies during your next casual Friday with Pittsburgh Startup Tshirts.
From the same folks that brought you the Pittsburgh Thinkathon and the BuiltinPGH movement, they’re now branching off into startup apparel. Because who doesn’t want a shirt with the WebKite logo on it? Or a colorful and pixelated MEGABITS image? It’s a novel way to spread the word about awesome Pittsburgh startups to the general public who might not even know we exist. Also, all proceeds go to having the shirt designed and printed locally, with anything left over to fund an awards party to celebrate the startup community.
Right now it looks like there are 11 companies participating, but if you’re eager to be part of the movement you can submit your startup by filling out this form.
All the shirts have a RustBuilt logo on their sleeve to show solidarity in the growing RustBuilt movement, something we’re super proud to be a part of. And if you’re reading this I’m guessing it’s something you’re proud of, too. Shaking off the stigma of this region as we transform into a technological corridor is nothing short of exciting.
It’s a great time to be a Pittsburgh startup. Show your support by buying a stack of startup shirts.
